Hard to believe we aren’t event half way through the most amazing 10 days in Calgary’s calendar year. But hey, who’s complaining! Start your Day off in true Canadian fashion with a delicious Stampede Breakfast. Here’s a quick list to help get you sorted.

Give A Mile Stampede Breakfast

Say good morning with the Pig & Duke Connaught neighbourhood pub 8am-11am. They’ll be cookin a scrumptious breaky and taking donations for Give a Mile – an organization dedicated to assisting getting loved ones to their families who are critically ill.

Canada 150 Day – Get into the park for $1.50 until 1:50pm

Celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday with thousands of new friends AND get into the ground for just $1.50 until 1:50pm. Heck, stay all day, get your Nashville North time in, and see Mariana’s Trench later that night. The cheapest concert you’ve ever been to. Boom!

See Doc Walker, Jess Moskaluke and The Dead South

Spend some time toe-tappin’ and girl twirlin’ at the legendary Nashville North Tent. Oh and with Doc, Jess and The Dead South serenading the crowd you can’t go wrong.

See Mariana’s Trench – 9pm

Need we explain? Where: Coca-Cola Stage – 9pm.

Try a Deep Fried Tequila Shot

Sure the mention of tequila shots might make you cringe but have you ever had them deep fried? Here’s your chance. Find Steve’O’s “Deep Fried” Public House on the grounds and give it a try.

Check out the Lammle’s World Champion Hat Stomp Competition

Just when you thought you’d seen it all, you haven’t seen this. Get a kick watching a few participants from the crowd try to destroy a cowboy hat in 30 seconds. Daily winners are invited to Saturday’s championship mashing. It’s all happening at Flour Rope Square at 10:05 am.
