Calgary Parking Authority Stampede Breakfast
From the folks that bring us the 2nd highest parking fees in North America (just behind NYC) comes the Calgary Authority Stampede Breakfast. Before you head off to work downtown, load up on some flapjacks, enjoy the music and why not try to win $10 in FREE parking at the horse show throwing skill test.
National Mojito Day
It’s National Mojito Day and what better way that to celebrate with a fresh made refreshing pitcher of minty lime goodness. Among the places to go:
Ox & Angela, 528 17 Ave SW, Calgary: Described as a made with an extra bit of Spanish passion, it’s a must try at this Tapas House.
Los Chilitos, 1309 17 Ave SW, Calgary: The classic mojito and a great patio, all done perfectly right.
Mango Shiva, 218 8 Ave SW: Coconut water mojito anyone? With a bit of an Indian twist, we’re sure Gandhi himself would approve.
Coca Cola Stage: JUNO award winning band, The Sheepdogs, are up on the Coca Cola Stage at 9pm. From the feel good strains of “Feeling Good” to the guitar strings of “I Don’t Know”, their music is unabashedly good ol’ Rock and Roll with a touch of nostalgia. Featured in Rolling Stone magazine, they’ve hit the charts across North America and never looked back.
Cost: Free with Calgary Stampede Entry
Time: Tuesday, July 12, 9pm
