Jeff Dunham: Have a laugh or two with comedian and ventriloquist, Jeff Dunham and his entourage of kooky characters at the Saddledome. Hopefully you already have your tickets, but if not hop onto Ticketmaster or check out Kijiji for some last minute deals. Show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Simple Plan: The plan is simple, try to squeeze in one last concert at the Coca-Cola stage and rock out with Simple Plan. The show is free with park admission and is sure to finish Stampede off with a bang. The band goes live at 9 p.m., so you’ll have plenty of time to stop by the beer gardens on your way over.
Dog Bowl: Find out who let the dogs out at the Stampede Midway Dog Bowl. With a whopping six shows happening throughout the day, you won’t have any trouble fitting this canine extravaganza into your schedule. These four-legged athletes are ready to bow-wow the crowd with their high-flying stunts – you won’t want to miss this.
Rodeo Finals/GMC Rangeland Derby Finals: Say ‘yeehaw!’ and throw those boots on one last time. If you haven’t had a chance to see the rodeo or the chuckwagons this year, now’s the time. These cowboys have been at it all week and it’s time for the moment of truth. Who will come out victorious? The rodeo kicks off at 1:15 p.m. and the chucks start at 7:45 p.m.
And if you’re headed to the chucks, as an added bonus you’ll get to see the greatest finale of all, the last showing of the 2016 TransAlta Grandstand show and the most spectacular fireworks display yet! BONUS: Entry to the Stampede is free today between 10am and noon. PLUS admission to the rodeo or evening show is half price.
Okotoks Dawgs Baseball: Need to get away from it all? Pack up the kids and scoot on over to Okotoks’ Seaman Stadium for some prime baseball action as the Dawgs take on the Yorkton Cardinals. Grab a hot dog and enjoy a cold one away from the bustle of Stampede’s final hurrah of the year.
